Vernhald Chronicles Privacy Policy

Vernhald Chronicles Privacy Policy

This policy applies to Vernhald Chronicles (package com.seorilabs.vernhald, the “app”), provided by Seori Labs. Challenge and Endless modes can be played offline; the optional scheduled league requires an internet connection. Where the app’s actual processing or store disclosure differs from our general policy, this product policy prevails.

Accounts and identifiers

There is no app sign-up, Sign in with Apple, or Google login screen. We use a random Firebase Anonymous Authentication identifier when connecting store ownership queries, purchases, restoration or the league. It associates purchase entitlements, decks and match records on our server. The store may require its own payment authentication. There is no chat.

The app does not ask for your name, email address, phone number, or date of birth. The league identifier is not set as an analytics user ID.

The app does not access location, contacts, photos, camera, microphone, or health data.

Data stored only on your device

Normal Challenge and Endless saves and the settings below are stored on your device. League preparation commands and completed decks are submitted to the server as described below.

Progress between runs (unlocked challenge levels, best rounds, recent run records), the run in progress, your settings (language, sound, vibration, usage statistics choice, base colour), the products you own and whether a review code was entered, and a per-day count of rewarded ads shown, used to apply ad frequency limits.

Android system backup is disabled. We do not provide cloud saves for ordinary progress or settings; restoring purchases does not restore deleted progress. Non-consumable entitlements can be restored from store purchase history as described below.

Scheduled league and server data

If you use the league, our server processes your anonymous identifier, preparation settings, seed and successful command history, submitted decks and placements, purchased expansion entitlements, participation period, rating, season and match records, and replays. These support deck validation, matchmaking, fraud prevention, rankings and results.

Registered decks, ratings and match results may be shown to opponents or in league rankings. Purchase tokens and complete preparation command histories are not disclosed to other players.

Firebase App Check verifies the app and its requests using Play Integrity on Android and App Attest on iOS. The server may process IP addresses and request and error information in operational logs.

Leaving the league or expiry of the seven-day participation period only stops new matchmaking. Decks, ratings and past records remain stored across seasons. Uninstalling the app does not delete server data. You can request deletion using the contact below; we verify ownership to protect other players before processing a request.

Usage statistics (optional)

On Android, the app asks once on first launch whether you want to share usage statistics, and usage statistics are not collected before you answer or if you choose not to share. From version 1.0.5 on iPhone and iPad, the app shows no separate prompt and does not collect usage statistics until you enable sharing in Settings. Automatic sharing defaults from earlier test versions are switched off and are not treated as consent. On any device, you can turn it off at any time under “Usage stats” in Settings. This choice is separate from processing needed to operate the league.

When sharing is on, game events are sent to Google Firebase Analytics: run start and end (with challenge level, round, and remaining HP), augment card picks, rewarded ads requested, shown, failed, and earned, and the result of a product purchase, together with the app market, platform, and app version. Firebase also receives the Firebase app instance ID and the device and app information it collects automatically.

If the app crashes on Android, iPhone or iPad, Firebase Crashlytics receives a crash report (device model, OS version, and the stack trace of the crash). Crash reports are on by default, separately from the usage statistics choice, and can be turned off under “Crash reports” in Settings.

Analytics consent for ad storage, ad user data, and ad personalization is always set to denied. No user ID is set.

Advertising

The app shows only optional rewarded ads that you choose to watch. There are no interstitial, banner, or app-open ads. Ads are provided by Google AdMob.

On Android, before ads load, Google’s User Messaging Platform shows a consent form where the law requires it (for example, in the EEA or the UK). In those regions an “Ad privacy choices” entry appears in Settings so you can change your choice later.

On iPhone and iPad, the app does not request App Tracking Transparency permission and does not track you by linking its data with other companies’ apps or websites. It requests only non-personalized ads.

When ads are used, Google and its advertising partners may process your IP address and approximate location derived from it, the advertising ID, ad interactions, and diagnostic information under their own policies.

The maximum ad content rating the app requests is Teen.

In-app purchase

The app offers two optional, non-consumable one-time purchases, “Expansion 1: Corsairs & Clockwork” and “Ad-free Rewards”, through Google Play or the App Store on the respective device.

Payment details such as card numbers are handled by the store; Seori Labs never receives them.

For purchases and restoration, the app sends product IDs and Google Play purchase tokens or signed App Store transactions and transaction IDs to our server to verify purchase and refund status with the respective store. We retain market, verified environment, transaction and product, purchase proof, anonymous-user entitlement links and completion status for purchase delivery, restoration and fraud prevention. Confirmed refunds or revocations update entitlements without deleting game progress or deck records. Test purchases and test leagues use separate ledgers from real purchases and official leagues.

Non-consumable purchases can be restored to a new installation or anonymous identifier using the same store account. We do not share purchases between Android and iOS or transfer or merge an earlier anonymous player’s progress, decks or scores. A review code enables an on-device preview only and is not accepted as server purchase proof.

Purposes

Data stored on your device is processed to run the game and keep your progress.

Usage statistics and crash reports are processed only to improve stability and tune game balance, and you can turn them off at any time in Settings.

Advertising and purchase processing takes place to provide rewarded ads and the one-time purchases.

Processors and international transfers

Seori Labs does not sell personal information.

Google processes data for Firebase Auth, App Check and Play Integrity, Firestore, Cloud Run, Cloud Storage, Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics, AdMob, and Google Play Billing. Retention and deletion

Data stored on your device is kept until you uninstall the app, at which point it is deleted.

Analytics data is retained for the period configured in Google Analytics, after which it is deleted or aggregated.

To request deletion of analytics, server-stored entitlement links or league data, or to ask a question, write to cs@seorilabs.com.

You can turn sharing of usage statistics and crash reports on or off at any time in Settings.

On Android in regions where ad consent is required, you can change your ad choices under “Ad privacy choices” in Settings.

On Android you can reset or delete your advertising ID under Settings > Privacy > Ads.
